Most of all, I remember that Kevin cared about my brothers and I very much. This is the same fundamental lesson my our parents taught us; to remember the love of the family and spread it around.

Kevin would often tell people "you're too old" to be doing something, or conversely, "you're not old enough, *I'm* a man!" Here he's probably telling me to remember that he's my "#1 Uncle." Kevin was the perpetual voicer of the family lineage and history "a long time ago, my mom met my dad. . . "

I've been thinking about Kevin's life at this time recently as I pass 30. These pictures are remarkable because of how young he looks; how much different than his last years of life. When I knew him, Kevin always had an awareness that one spoke to children differently than adults; that you needed to take extra care with young kids.

I never met Isa's grandmother Lucille, but I've watched a home video of her making Hungarian cookies maybe a dozen times. Watching and listening to her on video made her more real in my mind as an important person in Isa's life. Kevin and my daughter Lucille never got a chance to meet in person, but I hope that this can be a way for Kevin to be a more real person in Lucille's life and help her understand Kevin as an important person in our family's life.

As a way to differentiate from his svelte and not-so-svelte brothers, Kevin cultivated a unique style. Though impossible to define, "baggy" was an oft-used shorthand in the fashion community.
